ABOUT ME

My love of movement, the body’s capacity, and a curiosity about how it works, stems from a childhood growing up on Exmoor riding ponies, chasing chickens and enjoying all the countryside has to offer. I have always embraced and promoted an active outdoors lifestyle but with the breadth of sport and exercise this often entails, comes inevitable strain on the body. Having had my fair share of injuries falling off horses over the years, I find huge satisfaction in helping to rehabilitate people after injury and also to find an answer to injuries with a less obvious cause and then implementing positive change and optimal health so that my clients can enjoy all manner of activities; be it running a marathon or pushing their grandchildren on a swing.

I graduated from Oxford Brookes in 2010 and started work in private practice alongside being a physio for both the Oxford University Rugby League and Rugby Union/Blues teams. At the same time, I also worked with a team of GP’s treating NHS patients, specialising in musculoskeletal and sports injuries. Whilst carrying out my degree, I trained in clinical Pilates and I enjoyed completing additional postgraduate training including pre- and post-natal Pilates and clinical yoga, all of which I incorporate into my physio rehab work, as well as teaching classes which combine elements of both clinical Pilates and yoga.

For the last 3 years, as well as doing a handful of sessions for a clinic in Oxford alongside a team of other healthcare practitioners, I have been running a physiotherapy service from my treatment room at home (around my 3 children) where I offer exercises classes, consultations and follow up physiotherapy appointments for musculoskeletal problems and screening for injury prevention. I treat both sports injuries and general injuries, as well as helping with rehab both pre and post-surgery in the form of manual physiotherapy, soft tissue massage and rehabilitation programmes. The clinical Pilates and yoga form a vital part of my treatment including treating post operative patients. I work closely with consultants and GPs for referrals across all my work.

I am incredibly passionate about what I do and have accrued many years of experience, but I love to keep learning and am ever curious about new research and findings across the field of Physiotherapy, which is vital to continued professional development and I love bringing the best I can to each client.

I look forward to meeting you.
